Who We Are

Not Forgotten Initiative School (NFI) is a non-profit educational initiative dedicated to ensuring that children from vulnerable and underserved backgrounds have access to quality education.

Founded on the conviction that education is the most powerful tool for transformation, NFI exists to restore dignity, opportunity, and hope to children who might otherwise be left behind.

Beyond providing tuition-free schooling, NFI creates a safe and nurturing environment where children are valued, supported, and encouraged to reach their full potential.

In 2025, NFI marked its 7th Anniversary — celebrating seven years of service, growth, and impact. From classrooms rebuilt to lives transformed, 2025 is a story of steadfast commitment to the belief that every child's education truly matters.

The year reminded us that a purpose-driven work is never without challenges, yet it is always rich with meaning. We witnessed growth in our students, strength in our staff, faithfulness in our partners, and resilience in the face of unexpected disruption.

Where We Operate

NFI operates in Abuja, Nigeria, with a strong focus on communities facing economic hardship, displacement, and social exclusion. Our impact extends beyond the classroom, supporting families and strengthening communities.

We serve children who would otherwise have limited or no access to formal education. Many come from low-income households where school fees and learning materials are out of reach.

Our Journey

Seven Years of Growth

2018

NFI School Founded

NFI School opens its doors in Abuja, Nigeria, providing free primary education to children from underserved communities.

2019 – 2020

Scholarship Programme Launched

NFI expands beyond primary school, establishing structured scholarship support to guide graduates into secondary education.

2021 – 2022

Growing Impact & Partnerships

Expanded enrolment, new partnerships, and government recognition begin affirming NFI's credibility and community impact.

2023 – 2024

Infrastructure & Programmes Expand

Leadership, civic, and arts programmes deepen NFI's holistic approach. First university-bound scholarship students emerge.

2025

7th Anniversary — Milestone Year

165 students served. Digital classrooms launched. Solar energy installed. Two scholarship students admitted to Ahmadu Bello University. Government recognition awarded. Swedish Ambassador visits.

Mrs. Oluwatosin Adeniyi

Executive Director & Founder

The visionary behind NFI, Oluwatosin leads the school with deep conviction in the transformative power of education. Her leadership has guided NFI through seven years of growth, challenges, and extraordinary impact.

Mr Segun Adeniyi

Under the leadership of Chairman Mr Segun Adeniyi, NFI's Board provides strategic oversight, guidance, and accountability, ensuring the school remains focused on its mission, values, and long-term sustainability through counsel and shared responsibility.

Dr. Olawale Banmore

In Memoriam — Board Member

Dr. Banmore was a valued Board member whose life and service left a lasting imprint on NFI. He believed passionately in the dignity of every child and in education as a tool to restore hope. He passed on December 27, 2025.
